Continuing its efforts against drug menace, District Police Jammu arrested two peddlers and recovered heroin.
Today on June 29, 2019, a police party of PS Gangyal during patrolling at Kunjwani, apprehended two persons, Nasir Ah Bhatt s/o Ab Aziz bhatt and Feroz Ahmed Bhatt s/o Gh nabi Bhatt both resident of Dogripora, Awantipora. During checking, 150 gm of Heroin like substance was recoverd from their possession.
In relation to this, FIR No 60/2019 u/s 8/21/22/29 NDPS ACT has been registered by PS Gangyal and investigation initiated.
Continuing its drive against drugs, District Police Jammu arrested two peddlers today on June 29, 2019 and recovered a huge quantity of poppy straw (bhukki).
A joint naka of police party of PS Domana and SOG Jammu was established at Akhnoor for vehicle checking. During vehicle checking, one Truck (Tralla) bearing registration No. PB11CF-9339 was signalled to stop for police checking which was on way from Akhnoor to Jammu. On search, 275 Kgs. Poppy straw (bhukki) was recovered from it. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Harpreet Singh S/O Saranjeet Singh R/O Mansa Tehsil & Distt. Mansa, Punjab A/P Tola tehsil Tap Mandi, Distt. Barnala, Punjab and his conductor as Kala Singh S/O Kuga Singh R/O Shahpur, Distt. Sangroor, Punjab and the duo have been arrested.
In relation to this, case FIR No. 268/2019 U/S 8/15/25/29/27-A NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Domana and investigation initiated.
